John F. McCaffrey gained extensive trial experience as an assistant Cuyahoga County prosecutor while serving under Prosecutors John T. Corrigan and Stephanie Tubbs-Jones. He supervised investigations and prosecuted cases in the economic and financial crimes unit. Mr. McCaffrey was cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio to litigate cases with members of the United States Attorney's Office in federal court. Mr. McCaffrey is a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he was responsible for conducting investigations of
federal criminal offenses, including public corruption and fraud against the government.

John F. McCaffrey has served as an assistant independent special counsel for two Ohio attorney generals, special assistant Franklin County prosecutor and currently serves as an acting judge in the Lakewood Municipal Court for the Honorable Patrick Carroll.

John F. McCaffrey's clients have included corporations and individuals in federal and state court, and in connection with federal and state grand jury investigations, involving alleged violations of fraud statutes including securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, money laundering, RICO, hazardous waste disposal and other environmental laws, and public corruption and bribery laws. Mr. McCaffrey has advised and defended doctors and health care providers in connection with
criminal fraud investigations and regulatory administrative proceedings, including federal grand jury investigation. Mr. McCaffrey has conducted a number of internal investigations for companies and he has assisted clients in developing corporate compliance programs.
